Board Outreach Committee
Report for Conference Year 2025-2026
The Board Outreach Committee (BOC) focuses on matters relating to oral or written communications emanating from F.W.S.
In accordance with the Traditions:
- It produces the F.W.S. Newsletter
- Oversees the F.W.S. Speakers List
- Recommends policies within its remit as given by the BOT
The BOC also acts as a consultation resource to F.W.S. on:
- Coordinating media opportunities
- Addressing public information issues
- Determining S.L.A.A.’s preferred presentation to the public
- Communicating the S.L.A.A. program to members and entities outside of S.L.A.A.

Summary
The Board Outreach Committee (BOC) has continued its work to ensure that S.L.A.A. resources remain relevant and accessible to members around the world.
One area of focus has been the ongoing renovation of the “Beginning Recovery in Places Where No In-Person Meetings Exist” webpage to be re-titled “The Five Major Resources of S.L.A.A. Recovery: In Depth.” This update will improve access to recovery support, particularly for those in under-served areas.
In addition, in collaboration with the Conference Public Information Committee (CPIC) the BOC has been revising the Suggestions for Public Outreach webpage. The revisions aim to bring the information up to date and make it more useful for members and groups engaged in outreach efforts.
These projects reflect ongoing support to the fellowship to strengthen communication and ensure that members have access to effective tools for both personal recovery and service work.
The BOC also participated in the quarterly Inter-Fellowship Forum (IFF) meetings, as well as the monthly IFF subcommittee meetings. In addition, we responded to several inquiries and provided suggestions to the webmaster.
The BOC would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the support we received throughout this conference year from the members of our wonderful fellowship.
BOC Budget
The BOC drew no funds during this Conference Year (CY). The Committee will request a budget of $500 for Conference Year 2026 to cover the use of F.W.S.’s SurveyMonkey subscription for the 2025 Membership Survey.
2025 Membership Survey
The 2025 Membership Survey closed on December 31, 2025, and the survey data has been thoroughly reviewed and prepared for the webpage and brochure. The BOC has worked to analyze the results and present the findings in a clear and accessible format. Special thanks go to the Membership Survey Subcommittee (Nicole M and Holly A) and Webmaster (John D) for their dedication in organizing and developing the survey data into these valuable resources, which will help share important insights about our Fellowship with members.

Meeting Schedule
Our meeting times were drafted with the intention of giving our members a break during Christmas and the ABC/M. Below are the group conscience-approved meeting dates for the CY 2025–2026 period. The meeting schedule for the new Conference year will be determined by the group conscience of the incoming and returning members.
